Global fusion producer & DJ Mixwell was born in the cultural melting-pot of Montreal, and is based in Guatemalan's volcanic highlands, where he has become a staple in Lake Atitlan's avant-garde & influential music scene - an international hub of festival and ecstatic dance culture. His music blends traditional and ethnic elements from around the world with a diverse range of electronic genres, spanning from deep house to tribal trap to ethno-techno, with a particular fascination for tropical and afro-latin flavours. His eclectic sound has become a favourite in the festival circuit (in such renowned events as Lightning in a Bottle, Symbiosis, Envision, Montreal Jazz Fest, Lucidity and many more), and his single Serendipity has seen international success around the globe.

Fresh off his biggest international tour yet spanning 14 countries, Mixwell is thrilled to return home to represent Atitlan for Voices of the Lake!
